This book provides information on fundamental developments in crises and uncertainties in modern societies, and highlights the importance of those involved in the field of security, such as the police, civil society groups, and those who offer assistance in disaster situations and in preventing crime. It focuses particularly on analysing right-wing populism and extremism and the challenges they pose in government and society to the police. The book collates contributions written in celebration of Hans-Gerd Jaschke’s 65th birthday.
