Description
In practice, only the European Court of Justice comes into question for a Union-wide and uniform concretisation and further development of data protection law. It has significantly expanded its case law on data protection law in the last three years. The 26th Wiesbaden Data Protection Forum therefore examines the question of whether and how the European Court of Justice is taking on the challenges of shaping European data protection law. The contributions in this volume examine whether the Court of Justice is equipped for this, whether it has suitable instruments and procedures at its disposal, which methods and concepts it uses as a basis for its case law and how it meets these challenges through its decisions.
