What should corporate liability look like in the future? This dissertation analyses the development of corporate liability and explores potential reforms. It examines the interplay between criminal law, administrative offenses law and corporate sanctions law, critically assesses the German Corporate Sanctions Act (VerSanG), and considers alternatives following its failure. With a solid historical framework, a precise conceptual and substantive analysis of corporate sanctions, and practical proposals for improving administrative fines under Sec. 30 of the German Act on Administrative Offences (OWiG), this work provides valuable insights for legal scholars, economists, and policymakers.
