Der Täter-Opfer-Ausgleich im Erwachsenenbereich in Sachsen

The study analyses for the first time in Saxony which cases in adult criminal law are referred to victim-offender mediation (VOM), which challenges arise in the application of the instrument and how the actors involved perceive VOM. This enables a current and differentiated picture of the reality of VOM in adult criminal law to be drawn, which is also relevant beyond the Free State of Saxony despite the regional limitation. The suggestions for improvement and solution concepts developed can help to improve the application of VOM and thus promote its further establishment.
