Der Widerruf von (Verbraucher-)Bauverträgen

The BGB treats (consumer) construction contracts fundamentally different in the event of withdrawal. While the withdrawal from a construction contract often paves the way for a golden exit from the contractual relationship, the withdrawal from a consumer construction contract proves to be comparatively worthless for consumers. In light of this, solid knowledge of this area of law is of fundamental importance - especially for construction companies and their legal counsel. This is where the author comes in, not only providing a comprehensive analysis of these differences but also developing a proposed solution to resolve the resulting value contradictions.

The work was awarded the gif-Forschungspreis für Immobilienrecht 2025. The award recognises outstanding academic work that makes innovative contributions to the further development of real estate law.
