Dichte

We speak of density when something is concentrated and compact - like the "dense" fog in the field of natural phenomena. The mood of an excited (raging or celebrating) crowd is dense in the pathic sense; its affective charge is noticeable. It is more tangible than visible. Atmospheres and moods are feelings that operate as media of non-verbal communication - in the personal sphere, in the economy and in politics. Sometimes they attack affectively " frontally", sometimes extremely subtly and hidden. Not only dense atmospheres can evoke moods, but also ephemeral and almost subtle ones. In ten chapters, the book explores the question of how the immersive power of feelings is constituted situationally in a sensual experience.
