The thesis deals with the prerequisites and legal consequences of the contestation (Anfechtung) of transfer transactions in professional sports, taking into account the typical case constellations. The core of the work is the examination of the legally complex question of how the individual contracts concluded in the transfer of players relate to each other in the event of the invalidity of one or more of these contracts due to contestation.
Considering the results of the study, the decision to contest is examined and guidelines for the decision-making process are developed.
