The subject of the doctoral thesis is a comprehensive examination of road traffic law issues through the legal institute of voluntary agency without specific authorization. Based on fundamental considerations regarding the systematics of the legal institute, a differentiated approach to the presumption of the will to act as an agent is developed and applied to both towing cases and cases of self-sacrifice in road traffic. By including various insurers as opposing parties, the study ultimately contributes to the legal discourse in private insurance law at the interface with general civil law by elaborating on an insurance law-related analogy.
