Exclusive remote treatment is now permitted under professional law throughout Germany. It has the potential to fundamentally change the traditional physical treatment process, address structural deficits, and ensure and improve medical care in the long term. The study analyzes key legal issues relating to exclusively remote treatment and, based on this, develops interpretative aids and proposals for reform and change. In addition to professional law determinants, the focus is particularly on assessing the (liability law) standards of remote treatment, the effects on competition law, and its classification in the EU-international context.
