Die Berücksichtigung des Erscheinungsbildes des Arbeitnehmers bei Personalmaßnahmen des Arbeitgebers

This work conducts a comprehensive legal examination of the issues relating to the external image of employees in employment relationships. It is an academic study which, through its inclusion of practical examples, will appeal to courts, lawyers and all those involved in applying the law in this respect. It focuses on anti-discrimination law, analysing among other issues the concept of the external image of employees and its subsumption under the legal definition of what constitutes discrimination. However, it also examines the personality rights of employees and the principle of equal treatment in employment law, and addresses the monitoring of the validity and content of the rules on employees’ external image in employment contracts.
