“This book presents the coverage of the legislative proposal to introduce the contradiction regulation in Germany by five national newspapers. It examines the period from the announcement of the proposed legislation (September 2018) to the vote in the German federal parliament (January 2020). The aim is to find out which topic areas have gained particular importance, how the newspapers give space to proponents and critics of the proposed law, and what the focus of the coverage is.
