Die Europäische Ermittlungsanordnung in Strafsachen

The subject of the book is the directive of the European Investigation Order and its implementation in Germany. It is the legal basis for the transnational exchange of evidence within the European Union. The main question is whether the directive created a basis for the transnational exchange of evidence, overcomes the differences between the criminal law systems and takes sufficient account of the rights of the accused. Different criticisms of the directive are considered. The main focus includes, for example, the conditon of proportionality of an investigation order, but also the questions of legal protection and the use of evidence. National implementation measures are also mentioned.
