Die feministische Außenpolitik des Auswärtigen Amtes

Since 2014, a number of countries around the world have claimed the label "feminist foreign policy". Following these examples since 2021, the German Foreign Office, under the leadership of Annalena Baerbock, presents its "Guidelines for Feminist Foreign Policy" in March 2023. Through a qualitative analysis, this research project finds a clear resemblance of neoliberal feminist ideas within these guidelines. Although some transformative claims are made, as they can be found in various feminist theories, for the most part this political concept remains firmly within established social and political structures and ideologies.
