The work refers to German law. It discusses the fate of the ‘company name’ as an economic right during insolvency and recommends comprehensive possibilities of realization. Therefore, it addresses the specific features of commercial law relating to company names, particularly the principle of company name accessoriness, the personality rights-related aspects of the company name, and its integration into the (corporate law) articles of association. These aspects are discussed in the context of the prerequisites and legal consequences of the realization of the ‘company name’ in insolvency proceedings. The central focus of this work is on the implications of regular insolvency proceedings for legal aspects related to the ‘company name’.
