Die Grafschaft Henneberg und deren Aufteilung (1583–1660/61)

As the title suggests, the work deals with the division of the County of Henneberg among various sovereign princes. This led to inheritance disputes that lasted for decades in some cases. At the heart of the matter is the power struggle between the Albertine Electorate of Saxony and the Ernestine Saxon duchies. Legal faculties prepared expert opinions to clarify the legal issues surrounding Henneberg. These were examined and evaluated in depth for the first time by the author, who answered questions relating to guardianship, inheritance and family law. The work thus makes a valuable contribution to the regional and legal history of Thuringia, Franconia and Hesse.
