Description
Little known, but influential legal entities under private law and government agencies are one of the characteristics of the German healthcare system. This also applies to the InEK GmbH, which was legally mandated to execute responsibilities of public administration in 2021 (§§ 31 ff. KHG) and to the DIMDI, which was incorporated into the BfArM in 2020. Both institutions perform central tasks in the German DRG classification system. The author deals with the activities of both institutions and examines their compatibility with constitutional law.
