Die Integration von Haftentlassenen in den Arbeitsmarkt

Work has been considered a key element in the legal probation of ex-prisoners for centuries. However, their direct transition into employment is still far too rare. The dissertation analyzes the functionality of prisoner work, transition management and employment promotion under social law, considering empirical findings on the influence of work on the prevention of recidivism. In order to overcome the deficits identified, the dissertation presents a concept for a fundamental reform of the intramural employment situation and social welfare support after imprisonment, drawing on the organizational structures of workshops for disabled people.
