The use of several executors is a popular and reasonable instrument, especially in the case of extensive and complexly structured estates. Nevertheless, many questions have remained unanswered in the literature and case law over the past decades. This work addresses these issues and deals not only with fundamental dogmatic matters but also with practical problems such as questions of attribution or how to deal with blockades. These can often be solved by recourse to general regulations and legal principles. Furthermore, it also looks at possible arrangements on the part of the testator or the executors. The work is thus aimed at both academics and practitioners.
