Die politische Rechte in Lateinamerika

Figures such as Jair Bolsonaro in Brazil, Javier Milei in Argentina, Nayib Bukele in El Salvador, and José Antonio Kast in Chile represent the current rise of the right in Latin America. This volume sheds light on the characteristics and manifestations of right-wing forces in politics and society, opposition and government, and analyses the causes, background, and consequences of their political success. The contributions address overarching questions concerning the distinction between right-wing populism and right-wing extremism, their relationship with democracy, as well as the role of anti-feminism, religion, and transnational networks.
