Die Praxis der Unternehmensrestrukturierung und der Berufsstand des Insolvenzverwalters

The publication presents the papers that were given at the 9th Heidelberg Symposion on Corporate Restructuring in April 2016. The contributions deal with current developments of the German M&A market, recent amendments to Germany’s Insolvency Act, regulatory changes affecting the restructuring of banks, preventive restructuring frameworks and measures to increase the efficiency of restructuring, insolvency and discharge procedures, aspects of cross-border insolvencies in light of recent decisions of the European Court of Justice, a comparative analysis of efforts in Germany to set up a Chamber of Bankruptcy Trustees and aspect of the criminal liability in connection with the administration of an insolvent company. Two case studies round up the volume.
