Die Preußische Landesverfassung vom 30. November 1920

This first contemporary comprehensive portrayal of the Prussian State Constitution from November 30, 1920 provides an encompassing description of the latter. At the same time, Prussia’s existence as a democratic free state within the Weimar Republic is illustrated, always including the impact of the Prussia-Reich dualism on the federalism of the Reich. The dissertation outlines the structure and organization of the Prussian Free State and its provinces, presents the organs – the Landtag, the Government and the State Council – and deals with the judiciary, administration and church in the Prussia. Furthermore, the dissertation analyses the influence of the Prussian constitution on the seizure of power by the National Socialists.
