They are often mentioned in one paragraph, but a querulous person and a querulous charge are not as inseparable as terminology suggests. This thesis is to be interpreted as an attempt to find a definition for the term “querulous charge”, which is much used in German jurisprudential literature, and points out similarities to the problem of abuse of law. Repeated charges, offensive charges, delusional charges, series of charges – not all kinds of charges which are termed “querulous” are indeed querulous. And as to how to deal with them, the answer can often be found in the written law.
