'Tiefenpsychologisch fundierte Psychotherapie' (equivalent to psychodynamic psychotherapy) was created bureaucratically and has different interpretations, which are presented in this book. This form of therapy is more up to date than psychoanalysis, but many problems associated with it remain unsolved. This study introduces how these problems can be solved. This psychotherapy method is intended as a special version of psychoanalysis. What was taken from psychoanalysis in its creation and what not? To answer this question, a historical classification of psychotherapy is essential. Using casuistry, the author establishes the relation of psychodynamic psychoanalysis to practice.
