Die rechtliche Systematik der Gemeinsamen Selbstverwaltung von Ärzten und Krankenkassen

The joint self-administration of doctors and health insurance companies plays a key role in the structure of outpatient medical care for the socially insured population. In the 75-year history of the Federal Republic, the legislature has often influenced the development of this shared self-government with reform laws and is currently facing another reform legislation for the health care system. This paper analyzes this legislative development with the aim of drawing lessons from the experiences gained for the future direction of shared self-government. The author has accompanied a significant part of this development professionally in responsible positions and therefore evaluates its results based on his experiences.
