Considerations of sustainability in architecture are still predominantly rational and technical. However, these considerations do not take into account the full spectrum of human needs. Furthermore, our high consumption of resources and energy as well as our emissions require a shift in values.
Together with the increasing impact on our ecosystems, this observation highlights the need to refocus on humanistic and emotional values, including beauty, while showing greater respect for nature.
