This comparative study examines the legal foundations, judicial roles, and practical implementation of court-led settlement facilitation in Germany, England, and Lithuania. The author analyses how judicial promotion of settlements is structured in the three legal systems and what potential it holds for more efficient dispute resolution. At the same time, the study explores the challenges and limitations of judicial settlement efforts. Drawing on case studies, empirical research, and reform proposals, it outlines ways in which judicial settlement practices can be further developed and improved.
