Die Überlieferung der Werke Telemanns

This volume provides insights into various areas of the transmission and reception of Telemann's works. It is dedicated to the holdings of individual libraries and familiarises the reader with new sources. Aspects of the history of reception are reflected in publishing, inventory and auction catalogues as well as arrangements and transformations of works. Reflections on the composition and performance of music written during the Seven Years' War as well as critical readings of documents on Hamburg opera correct traditional theories. The increasing influence of digital humanities in source-based Telemann research is also conveyed thanks to digitised collections, databases and networked digital portals.
