Die Verfassung für Württemberg-Baden von 1946

This work provides the first comprehensive overview of the Württemberg-Baden constitution of 28 November 1946. The book not only sheds light on the post-war development of the state of Württemberg-Baden and its constitution, but also paints a differentiated picture of the constitutional history of the latter. The influence of the Weimar and the Württemberg and Baden state constitutional law of 1919 on the Württemberg-Baden constitution was pronounced to varying degrees. In view of the failure of the Weimar Constitution and the experience of National Socialist tyranny, innovative constitutional law – namely the possibility of a constructive vote of no confidence – also found its way into the constitution.
