Die Verknüpfung von Nötigungsmittel und Wegnahme in § 249 Abs. 1 StGB

This dissertation examines the link between means of coercion and removal of property as an element that is often decisive to the crime of robbery in the German Criminal Code. In recent case-law, different problematic constellations have centred around this link. The author reviews the legal solutions critically. By analysing the legal structure of the crime of robbery, the author succeeds in conceptualising objective and subjective criteria that can describe the link between the two elements characterising robbery, while providing practical solutions for each case group to legal practitioners and Courts.
