Die Welt von morgen

Volume 6 of the Landauer Beiträge zur Kultur- und Sozialgeschichte continues a series of edited volumes in which scholars from various disciplines address overarching phenomena in cultural and social history. The sixth volume focuses on the conceptualisations of a‘world of tomorrow’ with its narratives, scenarios and projections, and the questions they raise: What does the future have in store for us? Can we do something about it or are we at the mercy of a world-historical fate? The contributions explore the scientific discourse on the future. Between utopias, dystopias and futures of the past, they show a variety of approaches to the subject.
