Description
Making effective use of a choice of law clause in private international law depends crucially on the right timing. In practice, however, in both contractual and non-contractual obligations, no choice of law, or only an invalid one, is often made. As a result, the question of the applicable law is frequently raised for the first time in the course of court proceedings. The book examines this issue and investigates until what point in the proceedings a choice of law in contractual and non-contractual obligations can still be validly agreed upon.
