Die Zukunft europapolitischer Information und Kommunikation
Eine Delphi-Studie zur Entwicklung von Zukunftsszenarien
Nomos, 1. Edition 2017, 239 Pages
Description
The European Union poses a major challenge to EU citizens. As members of a functioning democracy, it is their responsibility to be involved in EU issues and structures, to keep abreast of political events and understand relevant political contexts in order to make informed political decisions. However, the European elite, above all members of the Commission and the Parliament, has identified shortcomings in this context. They have responded with a wide range of campaigns, strategy papers and management plans to resolve the passivity and disinterest of the general population.
This study uses the Delphi method to analyse both the measures planned by the Commission and the Parliament today and in the future as a means of improving communication, how those measures are reflected in the media and how EU citizens react to different types of communication.
