Doppelte Innenentwicklung durch Städtebaurecht

The utilisation of land for settlement and transport purposes represents a persistent challenge. To circumvent the utilisation of near-natural areas, urban development is progressively founded upon the inner development concept. This prioritises the utilisation of already developed land potential. The dual internal development concept extends this to encompass green space planning. In this context, the legal instruments of general and special urban development law for implementing (dual) inner city development are analysed and evaluated. Special urban development law, in particular, facilitates the utilisation of existing buildings. Additionally, the supplementary potential of landscape planning is also included.
