In addition to a comprehensive biography of the legendary Mongol ruler, ‘Genghis Khan’ offers selected examples of his after-effects in the 20th and early 21st centuries, which have not been available in this condensed form until now. Firstly, Genghis Khan's origins and his rise to become the undisputed leader of the Mongol tribes are discussed. It then focuses on aspects of military strategy in the context of his fearsome campaigns, as well as his achievements in state policy, for example in the areas of administration and the postal system. The phenomenon of Genghis Khan's extraordinary use of force against those he defeated is also discussed, as is the question of the location of his grave, which has still not been resolved.
