Ein differenzierter Rechtsrahmen für Wasserstoff

This paper examines the question of which production circumstances are stipulated by German and European legislators for the production of hydrogen, how these are linked and what categorization of the product follows from this. The starting point in European law is the Renewable Energy Directive and the category of “renewable hydrogen” defined by it. At national level, however, the category of “green hydrogen” dominates. Further categories are elaborated via production-specific law. The work thus provides a cross-section of large parts of nowadays energy law. The analysis also includes the possibilities of proving the previously examined hydrogen categories.
