Einflüsse auf die Kriminalitätsfurcht am Beispiel des Görlitzer Parks

Despite its complexity, the fear of crime is one of the central subjects of criminological research. While there are numerous explanatory models regarding its influencing factors, the empirical validity of these models remains controversial. This study examines selected approaches using Görlitzer Park in Berlin as an example, as it is an area with high levels of crime. It is based on a quantitative cross-sectional study that was conducted independently, and the data were analysed using descriptive and inferential statistical methods. The results highlight the relevance of the Disorder Model and familiar use in influencing affective fear of crime in urban spaces associated with fear.
