Einführung in die Erkenntnistheorie von der Neuzeit bis zur Gegenwart

Description
Epistemology is one of the most important sub-disciplines of theoretical philosophy. It deals with questions that we cannot be completely indifferent to, neither in other sciences nor in everyday life: What can we know? What do we have to doubt? How do we come to knowledge at all? In what ways do we know ourselves?
Up to the present, epistemology thus retains its significance within philosophy and beyond it. On the basis of presentations of "classical" authors (Descartes, Locke, Hume, Kant, Hegel) and a systematic discussion of basic epistemological topics, this introduction elucidates central questions.
Jens Rometsch researches and teaches at the University of Bonn.
