Ekklesiologische Wegweiser für eine antifaschistische Kirche

These ecumenically oriented 'ecclesiological guidelines' for theology, church leadership and congregation are based on an analysis of how the churches deal with the social normalization of right-wing extremism and racism by the AfD. They point towards an ecclesial 'firewall'. This demarcation to protect people threatened by right-wing extremism is developed in the love of God and therefore in a dialogical and transformative way. The guidelines draw on classic motifs of the Reformation's understanding of the church, in particular church discipline and status confessionis, and develop suggestions for the church's self-image as a space for protection as well as dialogue and for a 'dialogue at the border'.
