Ethische Perspektiven der Inklusion
Tectum, 1. Edition 2020, 80 Pages
Description
This study intimately examines the ethical aspects of inclusivity in order to help committed Christian volunteers charged with supervising its implementation by offering a theological perspective on this matter. The book explicitly identifies empathy as the basis of substantial ethical efforts to achieve inclusivity. Through its comprehensive overview of attempts to implement inclusivity in various subsystems, some of which have been tested in the field or are based on experience, the study reveals the consequences of an ethically oriented form of inclusivity in practice. Its concluding chapter interlinks the focus on inclusivity with the ‘preferential option for poor people’ and the ‘option for those that are excluded’, which can pose a challenge to churches and Christian communities.
