Ethische Verhaltensanforderungen in internationalen Schiedsverfahren

Ethical guidelines for arbitrators in international arbitration proceedings are standardized by a large number of institutional rules. In her work, the author comprehensively evaluates the existing guidelines and analyzes their practical application. She comes to the conclusion that ethical regulation through institutional standards is a necessary and sensible measure, but incomplete in terms of ethical safeguards. The reasons for this lie both in the design of the content of the norms and in their practical reception. The work concludes with recommendations for action for arbitrators, arbitral institutions and judges of state courts.
