Description
The particular way in which Heidegger's thinking can be characterised as phenomenological in its various phases is not examined in this volume solely against the background of Husserl's transcendental phenomenology, as is usually the case. Rather, it also explores the manifold connections between the two phenomenologists and the Eastern world – connections that are partly tangible in texts and partly permeate the basic attitude of phenomenological thinking. This opens up surprising perspectives on constellations in which Europe, Japan, China and India reflect together on themes such as allusion, listening, the spiritual, the person, emptiness and home.
