calcActive())">
Description
The ESPRI study provides a comprehensive insight into health and claims management practices of private health insurers. Its mixed-methods design draws on information from 19 insurers, which together cover around 90 % of people with private health insurance and support and care for them through more than 100 service offerings across the entire 'patient journey'. The study describes the role of health promotion and prevention, access support, care, follow-up care and rehabilitation, and long-term care. It also highlights their strategic importance for claims management (e.g. partnerships). The findings provide an empirical basis for further developing existing services to increase customer satisfaction and realise potential savings.
