Debates about philosophical topics often focus on few authors. In “Facetten” Rainer Specht tries to provide insight into the diversity of philosophical (ergo scientific) theories from eight centuries that are mostly forgotten, seem ancient or irrelevant today but in their time of origin were widely absorbed and expanded. Thus, they indirectly shaped our modern understanding of science and philosophy and allow a differentiated view on contemporary historical constellations.
