Caro Berndt establishes a connection between societal discourse on 'Financial Health' and scientific findings from the field of debt and over-indebtedness research. Through qualitative expert interviews with practitioners and researchers from various professional and research fields in health and finance, she identifies and systematises the potential and limitations of current conceptualisations of financial health for people in precarious financial situations. In doing so, the author uncovers synergies arising from international and interdisciplinary collaborations in quality-of-life research and identifies needs for future joint research approaches.
