This dissertation provides a comprehensive overview of joint easements, including their characteristics and how they should be handled. Particular focus is placed on their in rem properties such as the joint ownership relationships that arise or are permissible and the effect of succession. In addition, the accompanying legal obligations that arise and govern the relationship between the parties involved are also examined. The dissertation is aimed in particular at notaries, who provide advice and assistance in this area, and at land registry offices, which are responsible for assessing and processing the relevant registration applications.
