Genderperspektiven auf Afghanistan

The global West has created a category that victimises ­Afghanistan’s women and instrumentalizes them for political purposes. This anthology focuses on values, beliefs and ­socialisation processes that perpetuate such role attributions. The volume shows that the women concerned by no means remain in victim status, but develop agency and use the means available to them in a meaningful and purposeful way. The selection of contributions emphasises the interdisciplinary and multi-perspective richness of gender perspectives on ­Afghanistan. With contributions by Lise J.
