Gewalt und Aggressionen gegen Bedienstete im hessischen Justizvollzug

This study is based on a current, empirical survey on violence against staff in penal institutions in Hesse. The aim was to inquire about the security situation of the employees and to gain a better overview of violence and aggressions against employees in Hessian prisons. Based on this data, risks in a professional context should be reduced as best as possible. It is concluded that employees working in the penal institutions are exposed to different levels of violence with specific characteristics depending on the form of imprisonment.
