Proportionality analysis in the context of equality rights is confronted with numerous problems. They comprise the question of the general possibility of proportionality analysis in the application of equality rights as well as the exact structure of such an application. An analysis exclusively concentrated to special problems is not sufficiant. For this reason, the book elaborates on the basis of Alexy‘s principles theory and before the background of important models of equality rights proposed in literature a comprehensive principles theory of equality rights. On the basis of this approach the role of the three sub-principles of proportionality in the application of equality rights are analysed.
