Globale Medien- und Kommunikationspolitik

With increasing global communication and connectedness, the rules and regulations that shape the flow of international and transnational communication are gaining more and more importance. In this work, the author conceptualises global media and communication policy from a communications perspective and develops a comprehensive overview of this policy area, which is more than 150 years old. He shows that communication policy decisions on the global level have always been made amid the tension of competing rationales and interests, and exemplifies his assumptions with an in-depth analysis of the ITU. The book’s extensive literature based overview and its proposed theoretical, analytical framework make it essential for all students, lecturers and researchers dealing with media and communication policy analysis.
