Ethics, Law and AI

Description
Can AI develop genuine understanding? This certainly does not hold true for chatbots. Consequently, one cannot speak of “machine ethics” either, since such concepts merely describe our interactions with machines, rather than constituting ethical behaviour itself. Using a phenomenological approach, it is examined whether a model of structural relations can synthesize true meaning. By extending common positions under the premise of action, everything changes with respect to the machine and its code: it is no longer the determining system, but merely the expression of a methodology. In this way, intentional-realistic cognitive acts of the machine become possible. Thus, consciousness would no longer be a predicate, but rather a method.
